love at first site
After 4 days we had fallen madly in love. Over the next 9 months Eddie pretended that he wasn't ready for marriage just to throw me off his path. He spent 9 months planning our engagement trip. For my birthday he surpised me with two tickets to New York. We spent 7 amazing days exploring everything we
could. Then on June 10th (my birthday)
he took me to Central Park and asked
me to marry him under the stars. I
said yes as tears rolled down my
eyes. Just as we started to celebrate
huge gusts of wind started to blow
through the park. Thunder and
lighting started to light up the city. The storm came out of no where. We jumped over fallen branches as we sprinted for shelter. We spent the next hour in a horse drawn carriage with a man who insisted on talking about nuts. It was hilarious. We got married 2 months later and have loved every moment together.
We met while playing softball. I had shown up early for my game and walked into the dugout. Eddie was by far the most handsome man I had ever seen. We said just a few words to each other, but we both felt like there was so much more. Over the next 8 weeks that followed we gushed about each other to friends and family, but hadn't
spoke. After what seemed like an
eternity we finally had our
chance. I had gotten a slight
concussion from a flag football
game earlier that day so I went
to go lay down in the shade. That
cool spot just happened to be right
in front of Eddie's game that he was playing in. Between innings he came over and asked me out. I was a bit dazed, which was good...since I am not the smoothest person in the world. Eddie still to this day says that I said yes only because I was concussed. Anyway, we went on our first date a few weeks later.
